Welcome to Summit Escape Gardens, our hidden gem nestled in the hills of Gbawe, Accra West. Our 2-acre private estate is situated on a green breezy summit and boasting breathtaking views of the city.

This beautiful compound hosts the owners’ lodge, annex and the guest house (Lickey House), a large outdoor pool, jacuzzi, pergola, a poolside BBQ area, poolside bar, lush open grounds with a mini orchard and kennels.

Where We Are Located in Accra?

The N1 Highway which connects the Kotoka International Airport to the western end of the city Accra is less than10 minutes’ drive from the property; affording easy access in and out of the city as well as the easy connection to areas of Ghana. Summit Escape Gardens is the ideal location for those who wish to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the inner-city to a place of peace and tranquility.
Lickey House

“Naturally Lit Rooms With Good Ventilation”

Lickey House is a newly built 3 bed modern home, whose design allows for the influx of natural light and good ventilation. It comfortably sleeps 6 people with three bathrooms and a downstairs washroom. Powered by solar energy, you have uninterrupted and reliable source of electricity. Water throughout the property is filtered so you have no need for bottled water!

The lounge is cozy with reclining sofas, a large smart TV and several family board games. The dining area seats 6 people and opens to an airy outdoor patio. It is a designated smoking area. Free, fast and reliable Wi-Fi is available across the compound.

3x Filtered Water – No Need For Bottled Water

Our water is filtered twice before it enters the property and is therefore safe to drink in all areas of the house, including the bathroom. We also provide an additional level of filtration in the kitchen and a filtered water-cooling dispenser. This helps us to reduce the use of plastics on our compound and we encourage you to bring along your water bottle.

Security and Safety

Your security is paramount! The estate is walled and gated with CCTV, night-time security with dog patrol.

Smoke alarms have been fitted and smoking is not allowed inside the house except for the designated area.
A first aid kit is available.

Kitchen Amenities

There is a fully fitted kitchen with the following:

“Bedrooms with high ceilings and stunning views”

Upstairs, we have 3 cozy double bedrooms with high ceilings and stunning views. Each room is fitted with an air-conditioner, a ceiling fan and a smart TV with DS-TV, local and international channels. The en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers with hot/cold water, towels, and toiletries to last your stay.

The balcony, with a retractable drying line and patio chairs, is protected by a tinted glass balustrade for enhanced privacy and is partially shaded by a large akee tree.

“Cool off in the pool or unwind in the infinity jacuzzi”

As you walk through the compound you will come across several trees baring tropical foods. ‘If you see a fruit that’s ripe and ready, it’s yours!’ Our caretakers will be at hand to help you retrieve it. With a fruit or a book in hand, snooze in a hammock or swing under the mango and avocado trees in our mini-orchard.

Cool off in the pool or unwind in the infinity jacuzzi. You are also very welcome to simply lazy under the pergola.
Our grounds are in development as we work towards self-sufficiency. Sustainability and inclusivity are at the forefront of our vision; we look forward to becoming more accessible and will endeavour to accommodate any special requirements.

The outdoor mini gym comes with wall-LAT and pull pulley system, LAT and triceps pull down rope, sling trainer workout bands, assorted weights, skipping rope

Additional Provision

The following are provided for the duration of your stay:

• Linen: bed linen, bathroom and poolside towels including spares.
• Toiletries: Magda Forta shampoo and conditioner, shower gel and hand soap, toilet paper and paper tissues
• Cleaning: 3 times a week, laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, basic cleaning products and equipment
• Indoor fitness accessories: Yoga/gym mats, balance ball, abdominal roller wheel, push up handles and rotating press up handle bars, resistance bands
• Welcome pack: with sweet snacks, fresh fruit juice, a bottle of wine and essential condiments for your stay.

Additional Services:

Breakfast is prepared daily by our cook or chef, who can also take requests for local and international cuisines for meals and catering throughout your stay.

A private car shuttle service in and out of the city runs daily throughout the week and we can also provide a vehicle for intercity trips.
Once you have booked your dates, we can discuss our bespoke catering and transport services.
